What does it cost to work with Salthaven Travel Co.?

We charge a design fee for our services based on the level of support our clients want. This covers the research, design and management of your trip from start to finish.

Can you book short getaways too?

We work on getaways of all lengths. In fact, as a courtesy to our clients, we will book your hotel only stay complementary and include perks at no additional cost to you!

What if something goes wrong during my trip?

We are here to help. One of the most important things a travel advisor provides is support when the unexpected happens, like a flight disruption, a medical concern, a property that doesn't deliver what was promised. You will never be alone trying to sort it out. 

Can I go on a cruise with a disability?

Absolutely! With the right guidance, cruising is an excellent way of travelling with a disability. Many cruise lines follow ADA standards and have staterooms and public spaces that comply. There are some cruise itineraries that are better than others. We will always guide you toward the best options for your specific situation.


One important note: river cruising has significant limitations for wheelchair users due to the way the ships are designed to fit through the narrow waterways and under bridges. 

Why should I use a travel advisor when I could book it myself?

Using a travel advisor is not for everyone. Some travellers love to plan their own travel and enjoy the process of booking themselves. 


But for those who do not enjoy the endless hours of research or taking on the risk of a poorly planned adventure, a travel advisor is a great choice. 


Travel advisors use their connections and knowledge to ensure your travel experience exceeds your expectations. We also become your personal help desk, should anything go wrong. 

Why do you only book premium and luxury properties?

It's not about price, it's about value. 


Premium and luxury properties deliver a standard of service, attention and care that genuinely changes the quality of your trip. The staff ratio is higher, the attention to detail greater, and the likelihood of error is significantly lower. I have seen firsthand the difference it makes.


We will never recommend a property that we wouldn't stay at ourselves.

What happens after I fill out a Client Intake Form?

Once we have received your form, we will review the details and send you our Investment and Process Guide along with a Discovery Call booking link. 


We set aside an hour during the Discovery Call to really get to know each one of our clients, their travel needs, their preferences and vision for their trip.

What types of travel do you book?

We specialize in premium and luxury travel, particularly cruises. 


We also have specialized expertise in accessible travel and work with travellers of all abilities to ensure every trip is handled with genuine care.

Can I book only a flight?

Yes, you can. Flight only bookings are available for a flat fee of $50 per ticket. 


Unlike hotels and cruises, airlines typically do not provide commission to travel agencies. This fee ensures we can continue to give your booking the time and attention it deserves.
